Casa De Mar - Koh Samui

We LOVED this hotel, so much so we ended up extending and stayed for a month in total. It looks better in real life than photos. The pool area is lovely, we stayed in the month of April and didn’t have an issue finding a sun bed by the pool or looking over the sea. You walk down steps from the restaurant straight into the calmest, clearest sea. It might not be in the heart of Chaweng but that means the beach is quieter and so much cleaner than the closer beaches. You can walk to Chaweng in around 30 mins either down the road or along the beach at low tide, or get a grab. There are also a couple of restaurants nearby if you don’t fancy the journey. We stayed in the main hotel which we would choose again as oppose to the villas, as the walkway to the pool/ restaurant is through the villas so they are less private than the hotel. The staff were very friendly and made an effort to remember our breakfast orders so brought over our coffees/ eggs in the morning without us asking. The breakfast was really good quality and lots of variety. We will definitely be back next time we are in Koh Samui.

I was on a solo trip to Thailand with a 17 night stay at the Casa de Mar and the experience was EXCEPTIONAL. The quiet location at the end of gorgeous 7 kilometer Chewang beach made morning walks such a luxury with an expansive buffet breakfast to follow daily. The hospitality was so warm and inviting that days not spent sightseeing were a pleasure to spend at the resort. Poolside massages by Anna offered 7 days a week were excellent and the rooms offered great amenities, refreshed generously daily- water, beach towels, coffee, beach tote, robes, slippers...everything for your comfort! The gracious hospitality extended to the restaurant, too, where there were choices for every mood from Thai specialties to international comfort food. The open air seating looking out onto the sea made dining special everyday and I felt no need to eat anywhere else! I stayed in a garden villa and could not have been happier with my choice- quiet, private, huge bathroom with separate shower and soaking tub. This resort far exceeded my expectations and the pictures do not do justice to the setting and experience! For authentic simple luxury and exceptional hospitality in a quiet beach location and at the same time close to sights and activities, the Casa de Mar is a stellar choice!

We had a fabulous stay at Casa de Mar - for our honeymoon! We had booked a sea view room and we were lucky enough to get upgraded to a villa with our own swimming pool. Our stay was magical and we loved every minute. We would definitely come back if we visit Koh Samui again The breakfast buffet had so many options so you could eat something different and new every day - and we stayed for 5 nights so that was awesome! I had a massage at the pool side and it was amazing! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful Location of the hotel is great - just off the main road so not noisy. And a bit of a walk but walking distance to the night life / restaurants of Chaweng Beach. There are also 3 restaurants close to the hotel on the main road that had great food and were affordable.

The staff were so helpful and accommodating. We stayed here as I had just had surgery after breaking my leg and needed to wait to fly. They provided a wheel chair, would quickly open the doors and anything they could to help. The room is spacious and well designed. The bed is big and very comfortable. My boyfriend also used the gym which was right across from our room and really enjoyed exploring and swimming in the sea. The restaurant is right on the beach and for someone who can't get around many places, being able to watch the sunset or sit with a beautiful view at breakfast was ideal and picturesque. Our last day they thanked us for our extended stay with an afternoon tea which was delicious and a lovely treat. Thank you so much ☺️

Hotel pool was lovely. Great view on the beach. Clear water. I would say it was the best part of the beach we walked the whole of it. Some staff are really nice including the chef on the eggs in the morning, the main chef and 3 of the day staff at the bar and restraunt. The cleaning lady by the villas was lovely and always so happy. Food was very good. Cooking class was fun. Happy hour was good and better priced. Staff by the pool always happy to help and very welcoming. You would probably need a bike or some sort of transport if you was here and you don't like walking but the walk along the beach to chaweng is gorgeous.
